What I Think of Colourpop Cosmetics

What I think about the brand that never stops!

So, I love Colourpop let's start off with that. Their products are fantastic and they're constantly launching something, but here's what I think of different parts of the brand, what I love and would change.

Let's start, shall we?

Eyeshadows

Their eyeshadows are super pigmented, easily blendable and buttery AF. I have the Limoncello palette as well as Nude Mood and they're both stunning. The shimmers in the Limoncello palette are so creamy and pigmented whereas I notice the Nude Mood shimmers are a bit less pigmented but still they perform great. That being said, since the Limoncello collection, I haven't really been interested in a palette from Colourpop as the colour stories look a bit uninspiring to me. They release a new collection at least three to four times a month, so I feel like I've seen it all before at this point.

Shade Matching

Now, I did buy the No Filter Foundation Stick, and shade matching is hard online, of course, but I feel like there could have been some kind of tool on their website where you can put in your current foundation and it can match you the closest in their formula. I bought a shade in the "Light" category, which I am, and it was way too orange for me, now thats a foundation stick that's gone to waste...well, I gave it to my cousin, but still, I was excited to use it and I couldn't because the shade match was off. That being said, I just ordered another one significantly lighter (at least I hope) so we'll see how that goes.

Collaboration Collections

I really love a collab just like the Disney section on the Colourpop site. I love the existing products in that section, however, I wish there was more of a selection. By that I mean, I wish there was a small collection for each movie....for example, take the movie Enchanted (because I am in love with that movie, I would LOVE a Disney x Colourpop collab....anyway), they already do have actually, a highlighter called "Andalasia", but then maybe they could have a lipstick with the name something like, "True Love's Kiss" as in reference to the movie. This is going to be another post, what I would make as a collection, so stay tuned. However, I would love that because it brings back a memory many people cherish, even as a collectors item if it's not going to be used. That alone would make Colourpop a fortune.
