My Top 5 Favourite Foundations
Alright, so I love an even, full coverage foundation and here are some of the ones I tried, used and loved.
Let's go, shall we?
5. Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Foundation in 150C
I'm all for full coverage, but something about this foundations light/medium buildable coverage intrigued me. It's perfect for "no makeup" makeup days. I have some scars on my face, and beauty marks, and this foundation really evens out my skin tone especially when used with a dense brush, also that Rare Beauty sells. The dense brush helps build the coverage a bit if that's what you're into. I think it's perfect for people with dry skin, because it's a very liquid foundation. I did find it a bit hard to match my shade, though. Took me two tries, once was the 180W and then 150C which is a better match but not perfect. My concealer is actually 170W...I've got a nice concoction.

4. NYX Born To Glow Foundation in Vanilla
So, my skin used to be dry and recently switched to being combo. This is perfect for the drier parts of my skin, a natural glow and great coverage are just some of the benefits of this foundation. It blended well with other liquid and cream products, but I did find that when using too much powder products, the foundation can separate. Keep that in mind, it's a lot better for liquid and creams.

3. Dior Forever 24h Wear High Perfection Matte Foundation in 1
It's not my foundation, it's actually my mom's, but when I use it or use it on her, it does perform nicely. The finish is matte, and it does last forever honestly, I never tell any fading or separation. However, I find that even the lightest shades can oxidize and turn orange, making that awful contrast between your neck and your face. So, just beware with your shade matching, but the formula is good for those with oiler or combo skin.

2. Annabelle Perfect Fit Foundation in 100 Porcelain
This foundation is very comparable to the NARS Soft Matte foundation, it performs just like it with as much coverage. The finish is matte as well but it's a very comfortable formula that honestly you can lean on your hand and it won't transfer....I set with a transparent powder, so that could influence the transfer proof-ness as well...anyway. You won't need much to cover up any acne/acne scars, birthmarks/beauty marks, anything you want to cover can be covered with this foundation with ease. For that, it's very comparable to the NARS...

1. NARS Soft Matte Complete Foundation in Mont Blanc
But nothing is as good as the original. I mention this foundation a lot...A LOT. It's so good that I can't keep it a secret! This is my absolute favourite formula ever in a foundation; it doesn't get oily during the day, wearing perfectly on the skin even in warmer weather like we're experiencing recently. It covers very easily and blends like a dream. It works fantastically with every consistency...liquid, cream, powder, serum, you name it. The matte formula isn't intense or fake looking, it compliments my combo skin perfectly and I cannot wait to get another bottle (waiting until I have a gift card because it's a bit pricey)
$53.00 CAD
And so, those are my favourite foundations. Have you tried any of them? What are some of your favourites?
Vi voglio bene,
Melissa
