My Top 10 Italian Songs For Beginner Learners

Everyone needs culture in their lives, and when learning a language, immersing yourself in the culture is an integral part of the process.

Here is a list of my top 10 favourite Italian songs in no particular order!

10. Salutandoti Affogo ~ Tiziano Ferro

I love this song, and basically anything else from Tiziano Ferro. He's a large part of Italian culture, and an essential part of your Italian journey!

9. Ma Il Cielo È Sempre Più Blu ~ Italian Allstars 4 Life

Especially with what has been going on in this world recently, this song is a new summer essential. Italian singers including Francesco Gabbani, Il Volo, Fedez, Claudio Baglioni and many more partecipate in this song. The vocabulary in this song is perfect for learners in the Italian language!

8. Vicinissimo ~ Il Volo

"C'è una danza che ci porta via, sfideremo il destino che ci allontana ma per me, ovunque sei è vicinissimo."

So, if you haven't noticed, I really love Il Volo! They're great guys and they have voices of angels. Their music is beautiful, and for someone learning the Italian language, the vocabulary and the way they pronounce their words are very easy to understand.

7. Vendicativa ~ RIKI

RIKI always reminded me of Italian Justin Bieber; and I love it. For those of you that love the pop sound, RIKI is for you. There are parts of this song that go pretty quickly, perfect for memorizing and pronouncing Italian words just as fast!

"Stringimi e poi stringimi, e non sarà mai più." Tiziano Ferro ~ Salutandoti Affogo

6. Come Mai ~ 883

883 is one of the best Italian bands, hands down. This is definitely one of those songs that you can wave your arms to in a crowd at the beach. The tenses of the Italian verbs in this song are great for practice when learning Italian.

5. Rapide ~ Mahmood

This is a really good song with a great lead up and message. There is a rap part of it which is amazing to memorize and practice rapping with Mahmood, as well as your skills in speaking quickly with all the vowels in the Italian language.

4. La Luna Che Non C'è ~ Andrea Bocelli

Again, another Italian treasure is Andrea Bocelli. Anyone learning the Italian language should listen to at least one Andrea song. This song is very romantic, perfect for adding to your vocabulary.

3. Una Lunga Storia D'amore ~ Gino Paoli

This is probably one of the most beautiful Italian songs in my opinion. The different verb tenses in this song are great for practicing words and tenses like, "accorgessi" and "sembrava".

2. La Solitudine ~ Laura Pausini

If you're missing someone special, listen to this song and feel the pain along with Laura - another Italian icon. With heart-wrenching lyrics and a 2000's vibe melody, you'll be singing along in no time to Marco. P.S. Listen to the song to understand the last joke haha.

1.L'italiano ~ Toto Cotugno

This is an Italian staple, to the language and culture. Enough said.

Alright amici, I hope you liked my favourite Italian songs - again, in no particular order -and I hope they become part of your journey in learning the Italian language as well as immersing yourself in the culture.

Which song is your favourite?

Vi voglio bene,

Meli
