My Favourite Songs: October 2021
My favourite songs this month, that are the perfect soundtrack to the fall season that I adore.
Let's start, shall we?
Recuérdame - Pablo Alborán
"Recuérdame ahora que ya decidiste ir con él que sea lo que deba ser aunque a mí me toque perder."
Alright, it's a bit sad if you actually speak Spanish and understand that this is a very depressing song, but it does have a lovely melody and Pablo Alborán's voice is just amazing.
Your Love (From "Once Upon A Time In America") - Il Volo & Ennio Morricone
"I walk and you were there, beside me as before. My heart leaped to find you near, to feel you close once more."
You had to know that whenever Il Volo comes out with a new song or album, I'm gonna hype it up. Even though I love this group, I have to say, this song is just so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. The emotion is emphasized more with the melodic, and slightly dramatic timbre of the singers voices.
ghostin - Ariana Grande
"Though I wish he were here instead, don't want that living in your head. He just comes to visit me while I'm sleeping every now and then."
I wasn't really into Ariana Grande much after she was on Victorious that I watched when I was a kid, but recently I've been really appreciating her music more and more. I kind of avoid songs that sound "rap" like just because that's not really my vibe, so this being the first Ari song that I genuinely listened to and liked was amazing, and has been on repeat.
Stuck On You - Giveon
"Can't say I love you no more, 'cause my friends gonna judge me for sure."
I genuinely can't remember how I found this song but it is such a night time vibe, I really enjoy the 90's R&B nostalgia it gives.
L'Ultima Notte - Josh Groban
"Solo resto coi ricordi, domani tutto finirà, ma adesso resta qui, qui con me perche sarà l'ultima notte insieme a te."
Of course, this list wouldn't be complete without a Josh Groban tune. This album came out in 2003 and I'm still obsessed with it. This song is so dramatic and reminds me of something that should be in a mafia movie, especially the last chorus, the way Josh sings it.....just listen and you'll get it.
Pianeti - Ultimo
"Io ti aspetto dove il mare non si vede più, dove il giorno non arriva se non ci sei tu."
I recently rediscovered this song and it is just such a vibe, I always find myself screaming the part where it goes "Che ero a un passo da perdere te, ma tu eri a un passo da perdere che."
So here are some songs I love the month of October, what were some of your favourites? Let's chat!
Vi voglio bene,
Melissa
