The Most Anticipated Books On My TBR List
Taste in books obviously differs person to person, but here are some of the most anticipated books on my TBR list (to be read); in other words, the books I'm most excited to read!
Gabriel's Redemption by Sylvain Reynard
I loved the first two books in this series, as well as the movies so it's expected that I'm excited to read the third book in the series; it's one of those series I wish would never end, but I know there are only four books. I'm trying to pace myself with the Gabriel series just because I want to savour the idea that they're new and exciting, I don't want it to end; although I'm notorious for re-reading books, Kiera Cass' The Selection Series is the testament to that. This third instalment continues with my favourite couple, Julia and Gabriel, and I cannot wait to see what they've gotten themselves into this time. LOL.

From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata
I've been in a figure skating kick lately, thanks to Jennifer Comeaux (author of Crossing The Ice) who had me hooked with figure skating romance by the first chapter of her book. I've always had a thing for figure skating and ballet, since I was a kid, and since there aren't many (or any) ballet romances - if anyone knows of any, please let me know - I leaned into the figure skating trope. I have been dying to get my hands on a copy of From Lukov With Love, but I don't want the Chapters/Indigo version that's rebound with an alternate cover, because I just find the spine is too stiff that it'll just bother me...readers, you know what I mean. I already know this book is an enemies to lovers, plus it's figure skating; you can't go wrong.

She Lives In Daydreams by Nakia Cramer
I came across this book through TikTok where someone said the main character was based off of Harry Styles, and that alone was enough to make me add this book to my TBR on Goodreads. I then proceeded to search this book to see if that was true, and sure enough, it is. The plot feels like something I've not seen before, plus there's yet another Harry Styles nod in the book, the leading lady named Alice much like Harry's co-lead in the film, Don't Worry Darling. Definitely a book I can't wait to read!

The Man In The Black Suit by Sylvain Reynard
Yes, yes, I know it's another Sylvain Reynard title, but I can't help it. He's a brilliant author, who writes romance in such an intelligent way. I feel like I'm learning about art, history, culture and literature when I read his books, and I just know this will make me feel the same; it's the Reynard Effect. LOL. This novel is a standalone, so I feel like it would be perfect to bring with me on a cottage weekend this summer, just enough time to finish it all and be satisfied.

Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
This book has been on my TBR for months and I finally found it at an Indigo in London...which is two hours from Toronto...the lengths we go to for books! But seriously, I found myself there to visit a friend and I was pleasantly surprised to see one copy left of Icebreaker (it's been sold out in the GTA since the release date) on the shelf. Again, I'm a sucker for a figure skating romance and I know the heroine is a figure skater whereas the hero is a hockey player, so that should be very interesting! I've waited so long to read this one, I'm almost nervous to read it because of all the expectations I've made for it. LOL.
